Harbour DUES

The harbour dues are in place to cover the cost of our harbourmaster, buoyage & administration expenses such as safety codes, incident recording, law enforcement etc.  Here you can find out how much the harbour dues are, who needs to pay and how they can be paid.  If you have any questions, please contact us

How much are harbour Dues?

For recreational vessels, and liveaboards, the standard annual charge is £95.00 for 2022/2023, payable on 1st April.

Do please pay on time! It makes our harbour master’s job a lot easier, and we reserve the right to charge a £30.00 administration fee for late payments.

For those operating passenger vessels, please refer to the commercial vessels section below.

Who needs to pay Harbour Dues?

Leisure Vessels / Day visitors

Occasional visitors, ie. vessels that launch and use the river, or that transit the Port & Haven section of the river, should pay the river usage fee of £20 per year.

Vessels that spend more than 14 days in any calendar year within the Haven’s waters are charged the standard dues as listed above.

Liveaboards

Liveaboards must pay harbour dues at the standard rate.

Commercial vessels

All passenger vessels operating within the Port and Haven jurisdiction must pay commercial fees.  This is either a passenger landing fee of £1 per person, or an annual fee of £300 if the vessel operates on the river but does not land passengers.

Passenger carrying vessels operating on the river must have a Skipper with a minimum of an RYA/MCA commercially endorsed Coastal Skipper qualification.  All vessels must be coded.
